सुनिए तात, जिस उद्देश्य से मैं आया था, वह सब पूरा हो गया; मैंने आपके दर्शन पा लिए।

Listen, dear one: the purpose for which I came has been fully accomplished; I have obtained the blessing of seeing you.

आपका अत्यंत पवित्र आश्रम देखकर मेरा मोह, संशय और अनेक भ्रम दूर हो गए।

On seeing your supremely holy hermitage, my delusion, doubts, and many misconceptions disappeared.

अब श्रीराम की वह कथा, जो अत्यंत पवित्र करने वाली, सदा सुख देने वाली और दुखों के समूह का नाश करने वाली है—

Now, the story of Lord Rama, which is deeply purifying, ever brings joy, and destroys accumulated sorrows—

तात, वह कथा मुझे आदरपूर्वक सुनाइए। प्रभु, मैं आपसे बार-बार विनती करता हूँ।

Dear one, please recount that story to me with reverence. Master, I beseech you again and again.

गरुड़ की विनम्र, सरल, सुंदर प्रेम से भरी, सुखद और अत्यंत पवित्र वाणी सुनते ही—

On hearing Garuda’s humble, sincere words, full of tender love, comforting and deeply pure—

काकभुशुण्डि के मन में अत्यंत उत्साह हुआ और वे श्रीराम के गुणों की गाथा कहने लगे।

Great enthusiasm arose in Kakabhushundi’s heart, and he began recounting the praises of Lord Rama.
