सुन्दरकाण्ड 5.59

प्रभु के प्रताप से मैं सूख जाऊँगा और सेना पार उतर जाएगी; इसमें मेरी कोई बड़ाई नहीं होगी।

Through the Lord’s might I shall dry up, and the army will cross; no credit for that will be mine.

वेदों ने प्रभु की आज्ञा को अटल बताया है; यदि आपको उचित लगे, तो मैं वही शीघ्र करूँ।

The Vedas declare the Lord’s command inviolable; if it pleases you, I shall promptly do that.

अत्यंत विनम्र वचन सुनकर कृपालु राम मुस्कराते हुए बोले।

Hearing these very humble words, compassionate Rama smiled and spoke.

हे तात, जिस प्रकार वानर-सेना पार उतर सके, वह उपाय बताओ।

Dear one, tell me the means by which the monkey army can cross.
