वैर छोड़कर सीता को लौटा दो। अत्यंत स्नेही, कृपा के भंडार श्रीराम का भजन करो।

Abandon hostility and return Sita. Devote yourself to Rama, the treasury of compassion and utmost affection.

माल्यवान के वचन रावण को बाण जैसे लगे। उसने कहा, ‘हे अभागे, मुँह काला करके यहाँ से चला जा!’

Malyavan’s words struck Ravana like arrows. He said, “You wretch, blacken your face and leave!”

‘तू बूढ़ा हो गया है, नहीं तो मैं तुझे मार डालता। अब मुझे अपनी आँखें मत दिखा।’

“You have grown old; otherwise I would have killed you. Do not show your face to me again.”

माल्यवान ने अपने मन में ऐसा समझा कि कृपा के भंडार श्रीराम इस रावण का वध करना चाहते हैं।

Malyavan concluded inwardly that Rama, the treasury of compassion, wished to slay this Ravana.

वह कठोर बातें कहते हुए उठकर चला गया। तब मेघनाद क्रोध सहित बोला।

He rose and left, uttering harsh words. Then Meghnada spoke angrily.

‘सुबह मेरा युद्ध-कौतुक देखिए। मैं बहुत कुछ करूँगा; थोड़ा-सा कहने से क्या लाभ?’

“Watch my feat in battle tomorrow morning. I shall do much; what is the use of saying just a little?”
