बालकाण्ड 1.46

एक राम अयोध्या के राजा के पुत्र हैं; उनका चरित्र संसार में प्रसिद्ध है।

One Rama is the son of Ayodhya’s king; his deeds are known throughout the world.

उन्होंने पत्नी के वियोग में अपार दुख पाया; उन्हें क्रोध हुआ और उन्होंने युद्ध में रावण को मारा।

He suffered immense sorrow in separation from his wife; anger arose in him, and he killed Ravana in battle.

हे प्रभु, त्रिपुरारि शिव जिनका नाम जपते हैं, वे वही राम हैं या कोई दूसरे?

O lord, is the Rama whose name Shiva repeats that same Rama, or someone else?

आप सत्य के धाम और सर्वज्ञ हैं; विवेकपूर्वक विचारकर बताइए।

You are the abode of truth and all-knowing; consider with discernment and tell me.
