सुनकर राजा तपस्वी के वश में हो गया। तब वह अपना नाम बताने लगा—अंतिम शब्द का पाठ संदिग्ध है।

On hearing this, the king came under the ascetic's influence. He then began telling his own name—the final word's reading is uncertain.

तपस्वी बोला, ‘राजन्, मैं तुम्हें जानता हूँ। तुमने जो पहचान छिपाई, वह मुझे अच्छा लगा।’

The ascetic said, ‘O king, I know you. I liked your concealment of your identity.’

सुनो राजन्, नीति ऐसी है कि राजा जहाँ-तहाँ अपना नाम नहीं बताते।

Listen, O king: the rule of prudent conduct is that kings do not disclose their names just anywhere.

तुम्हारी उसी चतुराई पर विचार करके मुझे तुमसे बहुत स्नेह हुआ है।

Considering that very cleverness of yours, I have developed great affection for you.
