नारद के मन में कुछ भी क्रोध नहीं हुआ। उन्होंने प्रिय वचन कहकर कामदेव को संतुष्ट किया।

No anger arose in Narada’s mind. He reassured the god of desire with kind words.

तब मदन चरणों में सिर झुकाकर और अनुमति पाकर अपने सहायकों सहित चले गए।

Then the god of desire bowed his head at Narada’s feet and, receiving permission, departed with his helpers.

कामदेव ने देवताओं के राजा इंद्र की सभा में जाकर मुनि की सुशीलता और अपने किए हुए कार्यों का पूरा वर्णन किया।

Going to Indra’s assembly, the god of desire described the sage’s gracious conduct and everything he himself had done.

यह सुनकर सभी के मन में आश्चर्य हुआ। उन्होंने मुनि की प्रशंसा की और हरि को सिर झुकाया।

Hearing this, everyone was amazed. They praised the sage and bowed their heads to Hari.

तब नारद शिव के पास गए; उनके मन में ‘मैंने कामदेव को जीत लिया’ का अभिमान था।

Then Narada went to Shiva, with the prideful thought in his mind, ‘I have conquered the god of desire.’

नारद ने कामदेव के कार्यों का वृत्तांत शिव को सुनाया। महेश ने नारद को अत्यंत प्रिय जानकर उन्हें समझाया।

Narada recounted the god of desire’s actions to Shiva. Holding Narada very dear, Shiva counseled him.
