राम के वियोग से व्याकुल सभी जहाँ-तहाँ खड़े हैं, मानो चित्र बनाकर अंकित कर दिए गए हों।

Distraught at separation from Rama, everyone stands here and there, as though painted into a picture.

पूरा नगर मानो एक विशाल, घना वन है; सभी नर-नारी उसके असंख्य पक्षी और पशु हैं।

The whole city is like a vast, dense forest; all its men and women are its countless birds and beasts.

विधाता ने कैकेयी को मानो शिकारिन बना दिया, जिसने दसों दिशाओं में असह्य दावानल लगा दिया।

The Creator made Kaikeyi, as it were, a huntress who set an unbearable forest fire in all ten directions.

Unable to bear the fire of separation from Rama, all the people fled in anguish.

सबने मन में विचार किया कि राम, लक्ष्मण और सीता के बिना सुख नहीं है।

Everyone reflected inwardly that there is no happiness without Rama, Lakshmana, and Sita.

जहाँ राम हैं, वहीं पूरा समाज है; रघुवीर के बिना अयोध्या किसी काम की नहीं।

Where Rama is, there is the entire community; without Rama, Ayodhya is of no use.
