उत्तरकाण्ड 7.75

मैं राम की कृपा और अपनी जड़ता का वर्णन करता हूँ; हे पक्षिराज गरुड़, मन लगाकर सुनिए।

I recount Rama’s grace and my own dullness; O Garuda, king of birds, listen attentively.

जब-जब राम मनुष्य का शरीर धारण करते हैं, तब भक्तों के लिए अनेक लीलाएँ करते हैं।

Whenever Rama assumes a human body, he performs many divine plays for his devotees.

तब-तब मैं अयोध्या जाता हूँ और राम के बालचरित देखकर आनंदित होता हूँ।

Each time, I go to Ayodhya and rejoice on seeing Rama’s childhood deeds.

वहाँ जाकर जन्म का महोत्सव देखता हूँ और आकर्षित होकर वहाँ पाँच वर्ष रहता हूँ।

I go there to see the great birth celebration and, captivated, stay there for five years.

बालक राम मेरे इष्टदेव हैं; उनके शरीर की शोभा सौ करोड़ कामदेवों के समान है।

The child Rama is my chosen deity; his bodily beauty equals that of a billion gods of love.

हे गरुड़, अपने प्रभु का मुख बार-बार देखकर मैं अपने नेत्रों को सफल करता हूँ।

O Garuda, by gazing repeatedly at my Lord’s face, I fulfill the purpose of my eyes.
