हे भाइयो, तुम सब लक्ष्मण के साथ जाओ और वहाँ जाकर यज्ञ का विध्वंस करो।

Brothers, all of you go with Lakshman and destroy the sacrifice there.

हे लक्ष्मण, तुम उसी को युद्ध में मारो। देवताओं को भयभीत देखकर मुझे बहुत दुख होता है।

Lakshman, kill him in battle. Seeing the gods afraid causes me great distress.

हे भाई, सुनो: बल, बुद्धि और ऐसे उपाय से उसे मारो जिससे वह राक्षस नष्ट हो।

Listen, brother: kill him using strength, intelligence, and a means by which that demon will perish.

जामवंत, सुग्रीव और विभीषण—तुम तीनों सेना सहित यहीं रहो।

Jambavan, Sugriv, and Vibhishan—you three remain here with the army.

जब रघुवीर ने आज्ञा दी, तब लक्ष्मण ने कमर में तरकश कसकर धनुष तैयार किया।

When Rama gave the command, Lakshman fastened his quiver at his waist and readied his bow.

प्रभु का प्रताप हृदय में धारण करके युद्धधीर लक्ष्मण बादल के समान गंभीर वाणी में बोले।

Holding his Lord’s might in his heart, battle-steadfast Lakshman spoke in a deep voice like a thundercloud.
