हे भवानी, सगुण राम के चरित्र बुद्धि के बल और वाणी से तर्क करके नहीं समझे जा सकते।

O Bhavani, the deeds of Rama in his manifest, qualified form cannot be fathomed through reasoning, intellectual power, or speech.

ऐसा विचार करके जो ज्ञानी और विरक्त हैं, वे सभी तर्क छोड़कर राम का भजन करते हैं; ‘तग्य’ का पाठ अनिश्चित है।

Reflecting thus, those who are knowledgeable and detached worship Rama, abandoning all argument; the reading ‘तग्य’ is uncertain.

मेघनाद ने सेना को व्याकुल कर दिया; फिर प्रकट होकर वह दुर्वचन कहने लगा।

Meghnada threw the army into distress; then he appeared again and spoke abusive words.

जामवंत ने कहा, ‘दुष्ट, खड़ा रह!’ यह सुनकर मेघनाद का क्रोध बहुत बढ़ गया।

Jambavan said, ‘Wretch, stand your ground!’ Hearing this, Meghnada’s anger greatly increased.

मेघनाद बोला, ‘मूर्ख, बूढ़ा जानकर मैंने तुझे छोड़ दिया था; अधम, अब तू मुझे ललकारने लगा!’

Meghnada said, ‘Fool, I spared you because I considered you old; vile one, now you have begun challenging me!’

ऐसा कहकर उसने तेजी से त्रिशूल चलाया। जामवंत उसी को हाथ में पकड़कर दौड़े।

Saying this, he swiftly hurled his trident. Jambavan caught that very trident in his hand and rushed forward.
