लङ्काकाण्ड 6.58

हे कपि, तुम्हारे दर्शन से मैं पापरहित हो गई; हे तात, श्रेष्ठ मुनि का शाप मिट गया।

O Hanuman, seeing you has freed me from sin; dear one, the great sage’s curse has ended.

यह मुनि नहीं, भयंकर राक्षस है। हे कपि, मेरी बात सत्य मानो।

This is no sage but a terrible demon. O Hanuman, believe my words to be true.

जैसे ही अप्सरा ऐसा कहकर चली गई, उसी समय हनुमान राक्षस के पास गए।

As soon as the celestial nymph departed after saying this, Hanuman approached the demon.

हनुमान ने कहा, ‘हे मुनि, पहले गुरुदक्षिणा ले लो; उसके बाद तुम मुझे मंत्र देना।’

Hanuman said, “O sage, first accept the teacher’s offering; afterward give me the mantra.”

हनुमान ने उसके सिर पर पूँछ लपेटकर उसे पटक दिया। मरते समय उसने अपना असली शरीर प्रकट किया।

Hanuman wrapped his tail around the demon’s head and dashed him down. At the moment of death, the demon revealed his true form.

‘राम, राम’ कहकर उसने प्राण छोड़ दिए। यह सुनकर हनुमान मन में प्रसन्न हुए और चल पड़े।

Saying “Rama, Rama,” he gave up his life. Hearing this, Hanuman rejoiced inwardly and set off.
