लङ्काकाण्ड 6.57

हनुमान ने पानी माँगा तो उसने कमंडल दिया। हनुमान ने कहा: इतने थोड़े पानी से मेरी तृप्ति नहीं होगी।

Hanuman asked for water, and the false sage offered his water pot. Hanuman said, “So little water will not satisfy my thirst.”

उसने कहा: तालाब में स्नान करके जल्दी लौट आओ। मैं तुम्हें दीक्षा दूँगा, जिससे तुम ज्ञान पाओगे।

He said, “Bathe in the pond and return quickly. I shall give you initiation, through which you will attain knowledge.”

तालाब में प्रवेश करते ही एक मादा मगर ने हनुमान का पैर पकड़ लिया; तब वे व्याकुल हुए।

As Hanuman entered the pond, a female crocodile seized his foot, and he became alarmed.

हनुमान ने उसे मार डाला। वह दिव्य शरीर धारण करके विमान पर चढ़ी और आकाश की ओर चली गई।

Hanuman killed her. She assumed a divine body, boarded a celestial vehicle, and departed into the sky.
