विष्णु, ब्रह्मा और अन्य देवताओं के समूह अपने-अपने वाहनों पर चढ़कर बारात में चले।

देवताओं का समुदाय हर प्रकार से अनुपम है, पर बारात दूल्हे के अनुरूप नहीं है।

तब विष्णु ने हँसकर सभी दिशाओं के अधिपतियों को बुलाया और ऐसा कहा:
