गंगाजल से बनी मदिरा जानकर संत उसे कभी नहीं पीते।

Knowing liquor to have been made from Ganges water, saints still never drink it.

पर वही मदिरा गंगा में मिल जाने पर जैसे पवित्र हो जाती है, वैसे ही ईश्वर और सामर्थ्यहीन जीव में अंतर है।

Yet that same liquor becomes pure upon merging into the Ganges; such is the distinction between the Lord and the limited individual being.

भगवान शिव स्वभाव से ही समर्थ हैं; इस विवाह में हर प्रकार का कल्याण है।

Lord Shiva is inherently powerful; this marriage holds well-being in every respect.

महेश की आराधना कठिन तो है, पर तप का कष्ट उठाने पर वे शीघ्र प्रसन्न हो जाते हैं।

Mahesha is indeed difficult to propitiate, yet he is quickly pleased when one undertakes the hardship of austerity.

यदि तुम्हारी कन्या तप करे, तो त्रिपुरारी शिव भावी विधान को भी मिटा सकते हैं।

If your daughter practices austerity, Shiva, the destroyer of Tripura, can erase even what is destined.

यद्यपि संसार में अनेक वर हैं, इस कन्या के लिए शिव को छोड़कर कोई दूसरा नहीं है।

Although there are many bridegrooms in the world, there is none for this daughter other than Shiva.
