तुमने ठीक कहा; मेरे मन को भी यह अच्छा लगा। पर यह अनुचित है कि दक्ष ने निमंत्रण नहीं भेजा।

You have spoken well; the idea pleases me too. But it is improper that Daksha sent no invitation.

दक्ष ने अपनी सभी बेटियों को बुलाया, पर मेरे साथ वैर के कारण तुम्हें भी भुला दिया।

Daksha invited all his daughters, but because of his hostility toward me, he left you out too.

ब्रह्मा की सभा में दक्ष ने मुझसे दुख माना था; इसी कारण वे अब भी मेरा अपमान करते हैं।

In Brahma’s assembly, Daksha took offense at me; for that reason he still dishonors me.

हे भवानी, यदि तुम बिना बुलाए जाओगी, तो न शील रहेगा, न स्नेह, न मान-मर्यादा।

O Bhavani, if you go uninvited, neither propriety, affection, nor regard will remain.

यद्यपि मित्र, स्वामी, पिता और गुरु के घर बिना बुलाए भी जाना उचित है—इसमें संदेह नहीं।

Although one may certainly visit the homes of a friend, master, father, or teacher even without an invitation.

फिर भी जहाँ कोई वैर मानता हो, वहाँ जाने से कल्याण नहीं होता।

Nevertheless, where someone harbors hostility, going there brings no good.
