दूतों को अयोध्या भेजिए; वे जाकर राजा दशरथ को बुला लाएँ।

Send messengers to Ayodhya; let them go and bring King Dasharatha at your invitation.

राजा जनक ने प्रसन्न होकर कहा, ‘बहुत अच्छा, हे कृपालु!’ और उसी समय दूतों को बुलाकर भेज दिया।

Delighted, King Janaka said, “Very well, gracious one!” He summoned the messengers and sent them immediately.

फिर उन्होंने नगर के सभी प्रमुख नागरिकों को बुलाया। सबने आकर आदरपूर्वक सिर झुकाए।

Then he summoned all the leading citizens. They came and bowed their heads respectfully.

बाजारों, रास्तों, भवनों और देवालयों सहित नगर को चारों ओर से सजाओ।

Adorn the city on all sides—its markets, roads, buildings, and shrines.

वे प्रसन्न होकर चले और अपने-अपने घर पहुँचे। फिर राजा ने सेवकों को बुलाकर भेजा।

They departed happily and reached their respective homes. Then the king summoned and dispatched his attendants.

‘सुंदर, अनोखा मंडप तैयार करके सजाओ।’ सेवक इस आज्ञा को आदर से स्वीकार कर चले; अंतिम पद का पाठ अनिश्चित है, संभवतः आशय है कि वे सुख पाकर चले।

“Prepare and arrange a splendid, elaborate pavilion.” The attendants respectfully accepted the command and departed; the final phrase is uncertain, possibly meaning that they departed delighted.
