हे राम, लक्ष्मीपति विष्णु का धनुष लीजिए और खींचिए, जिससे मेरा संदेह मिट जाए।

Rama, take the bow of Vishnu, Lakshmi’s consort, and draw it so that my doubt may be dispelled.

देते ही धनुष अपने-आप राम के पास चला गया; परशुराम के मन में आश्चर्य हुआ।

As it was being offered, the bow passed to Rama of its own accord; Parashurama was filled with wonder.

तब परशुराम ने राम का प्रताप पहचान लिया; उनका शरीर रोमांचित और हर्ष से खिल उठा।

Then Parashurama recognized Rama’s power; his body thrilled and blossomed with joy.

हाथ जोड़कर वे वचन बोले; उनके हृदय में प्रेम समा नहीं रहा था।

With hands joined, he spoke; his heart could scarcely contain his love.
