जनक ने सारी बात कहकर सुनाई कि किस कारण सभी राजा आए थे।

Janaka related the circumstances and explained why all the kings had come.

बात सुनकर परशुराम ने फिर दूसरी ओर देखा और धरती पर पड़े धनुष के टुकड़े देखे।

Hearing these words, Parashurama turned his gaze elsewhere and saw the pieces of the bow lying on the ground.

अत्यंत क्रोध में परशुराम कठोर वचन बोले: ‘कहो, मूर्ख जनक, धनुष किसने तोड़ा?’

In great anger, Parashurama spoke harshly: “Tell me, foolish Janaka, who broke the bow?”

‘मूर्ख, उसे शीघ्र दिखाओ; नहीं तो आज ही जहाँ तक तुम्हारा राज्य है, वहाँ तक की धरती उलट दूँगा।’

“Fool, show him to me quickly; otherwise, today I will overturn the earth throughout the extent of your kingdom.”

अत्यधिक भय के कारण राजा जनक उत्तर नहीं दे रहे थे; कुटिल राजा मन ही मन प्रसन्न हुए।

Overcome by great fear, King Janaka gave no answer; the malicious kings rejoiced inwardly.

देवता, मुनि, नाग और नगर के स्त्री-पुरुष सभी चिंता करने लगे; उनके हृदय में भारी भय था।

Gods, sages, serpent beings, and the city's men and women all grew anxious, with deep fear in their hearts.
