राम ने सीता को अत्यंत व्याकुल देखा; उनके लिए एक क्षण भी कल्प के समान बीत रहा था।

Rama saw Sita deeply distressed; to her, each moment was passing like an aeon.

जो प्यासा जल के बिना प्राण छोड़ दे, उसके मर जाने पर अमृत का सरोवर भी क्या कर सकता है?

If a thirsty person dies for lack of water, what can even a lake of nectar do after their death?

जब सारी फसल सूख जाए, तब वर्षा का क्या लाभ? अवसर चूक जाने पर फिर पछताने से क्या लाभ?

What good is rain once all the crops have dried up? What good is regret after the opportunity has passed?

मन में ऐसा समझकर राम ने जानकी की ओर देखा; उनका विशेष प्रेम देखकर प्रभु रोमांचित हो उठे।

Understanding this in his heart, Rama looked at Janaki; seeing her exceptional love, the Lord thrilled with joy.

राम ने मन ही मन गुरु को प्रणाम किया और बड़ी फुर्ती तथा सहजता से धनुष उठा लिया।

Rama inwardly bowed to his teacher and lifted the bow with great deftness and ease.

जब राम ने धनुष उठाया, वह बिजली की तरह चमका; फिर वह आकाश के इंद्रधनुष के चाप जैसा हो गया।

When Rama took up the bow, it flashed like lightning; then it became like the arc of a rainbow in the sky.
