प्रभु राम को देखकर सब राजा मन में हार गए, जैसे चंद्रमा के उदय होने पर तारे फीके पड़ जाते हैं।

Seeing Lord Rama, all the kings lost heart, like stars paling when the moon rises.

सबके मन में ऐसा विश्वास था कि राम धनुष नहीं तोड़ सकेंगे।

All held the belief that Rama would not be able to break the bow.

शिव का विशाल धनुष तोड़े बिना भी सीता राम के वक्ष पर माला डाल देंगी।

Even without the great bow of Shiva being broken, Sita will place the garland upon Rama’s chest.

ऐसा विचारकर, भाइयो, यश, प्रताप, बल और तेज गँवाकर घर चले जाओ।

Thinking thus, brothers, go home, having lost your glory, prestige, strength, and splendor.

यह बात सुनकर दूसरे राजा हँसे, जो अविवेक से अंधे और अभिमानी थे।

Hearing these words, other kings laughed—those blinded by lack of discernment and filled with pride.

धनुष तोड़ देने पर भी विवाह कठिन है; बिना तोड़े राजकुमारी से कौन विवाह कर सकता है?

Even after breaking the bow, marriage is difficult; who could marry the princess without breaking it?
