राजा की प्रेम-रस में भीगी वाणी सुनकर ज्ञानी मुनि विश्वामित्र ने हृदय में आनंद अनुभव किया।

Hearing the king's words steeped in love, the wise sage Vishvamitra felt joy in his heart.

तब वसिष्ठ ने बहुत प्रकार से समझाया और राजा का संदेह दूर हुआ। ‘निधि’ के संदिग्ध पाठ को संभवतः ‘विधि’ के आशय में समझा गया है।

Then Vasishtha explained in many ways, and the king's doubt was dispelled. The uncertain reading ‘निधि’ is provisionally understood in the sense of ‘विधि’ (ways).

राजा ने बड़े आदर से दोनों पुत्रों को बुलाया, हृदय से लगाया और अनेक प्रकार से शिक्षा दी।

The king called both sons with great regard, embraced them, and instructed them in many ways.

हे स्वामी, ये दोनों पुत्र मेरे प्राण हैं। हे मुनि, इनके पिता अब आप हैं, अन्य कोई नहीं।

O master, these two sons are my very life. O sage, you are their father now, and no one else.

राजा ने अनेक प्रकार से आशीर्वाद देकर पुत्रों को ऋषि विश्वामित्र को सौंप दिया।

After blessing them in many ways, the king entrusted his sons to sage Vishvamitra.

प्रभु माताओं के भवन गए और उनके चरणों में सिर झुकाकर चल पड़े।

The Lords went to their mothers' quarters and, bowing their heads at their feet, departed.

मनुष्यों में सिंह के समान दोनों वीर मुनि का भय दूर करने के लिए प्रसन्न होकर चले।

The two heroes, lions among men, set out joyfully to remove the sage's fear.

वे कृपा के समुद्र, स्थिर बुद्धि वाले और समस्त विश्व के कारणों के भी कारण हैं।

They are oceans of compassion, steadfast in understanding, and the cause of the causes of the entire universe.
