एक बार माता कौसल्या ने राम को नहलाया और श्रृंगार करके पालने में सुलाया।

Once, Mother Kaushalya bathed Rama, adorned him, and laid him in the cradle.

अपने कुल के इष्ट भगवान की पूजा के लिए माता ने स्नान किया।

The mother bathed to worship her family's chosen deity.

पूजा करके माता ने नैवेद्य चढ़ाया, फिर स्वयं उस स्थान पर गईं जहाँ भोजन बनाया था।

After worshipping, the mother offered food to the deity, then went herself to the place where she had prepared the meal.

फिर माता वहाँ लौट आईं और पहुँचकर पुत्र को भोजन करते देखा।

Then the mother returned there and, on arriving, saw her son eating.

भयभीत माता शिशु के पास गईं और देखा कि बालक वहाँ फिर सोया हुआ था।

Frightened, the mother went to the infant and saw the child asleep there again.

फिर लौटकर आईं तो उसी पुत्र को देखा। उनका हृदय काँपने लगा और मन को धीरज नहीं हुआ।

Returning again, she saw that same son. Her heart trembled, and her mind could find no composure.
