सभी देवता अपने-अपने धाम चले गए। पृथ्वी सहित सबके मन को शांति मिली।

All the gods returned to their respective abodes. Earth and all the gods found peace of mind.

ब्रह्मा ने जो भी आदेश दिया, देवताओं ने प्रसन्न होकर उसे पूरा करने में विलंब नहीं किया।

Whatever command Brahma gave, the gods gladly carried it out without delay.

उन्होंने पृथ्वी पर वन में रहने वाले जीवों के शरीर धारण किए; उनमें अतुलनीय बल और प्रताप था।

They assumed the bodies of forest creatures on earth; they possessed incomparable strength and prowess.

पर्वत, वृक्ष और नख ही उन सभी वीरों के हथियार थे। वे धीरबुद्धि वीर हरि के आगमन की राह देखते थे।

Mountains, trees, and claws were the weapons of all those warriors. Steadfast in mind, they awaited Hari's arrival.

वे पर्वतों और वनों में जहाँ-तहाँ भरपूर फैलकर, अपने-अपने सुंदर सैन्यदल बनाकर रहने लगे।

They filled the mountains and forests here and there, dwelling in their own well-formed companies.

यह सब सुंदर चरित मैंने कह दिया। अब वह कथा सुनो जिसे बीच में छोड़ रखा था।
