मन में मुनि की महिमा का अनुमान करके राजा चुपके से उठा, इस तरह कि रानी भी न जान सकी।

Attributing this in his mind to the sage’s power, the king rose quietly, so that even the queen did not know.

वह उसी घोड़े पर चढ़कर वन गया; नगर के किसी पुरुष या स्त्री को इसका पता न चला।

He rode that same horse to the forest; no man or woman in the city knew of it.

दो पहर बीतने पर राजा लौट आया; घर-घर उत्सव हुआ और बधाई के बाजे बजे।

After two watches had passed, the king returned; celebrations took place in every home, with festive music.

जब राजा ने पुरोहित को देखा, तो उसे देखकर और उसी कार्य को याद करके चकित हुआ।

When the king saw the priest, he was astonished at the sight and recalled that same undertaking.
