यदि कोई इच्छारहित, सर्वव्यापक और सर्वसमर्थ सत्ता है, तो हे नाथ, कभी मुझे उसे भी समझाइए।

If there is a desireless, all-pervading, sovereign reality, then, my lord, please explain that to me as well.

मुझे अज्ञानी जानकर हृदय में क्रोध न रखिए; जिस उपाय से मेरा मोह मिटे, वही कीजिए।

Knowing me to be ignorant, do not harbor anger in your heart; do whatever will dispel my delusion.

मैंने वन में राम की प्रभुता देखी थी, पर अत्यंत भय से व्याकुल होकर आपको नहीं बताई।

I saw Rama’s divine majesty in the forest, but, overwhelmed by great fear, I did not tell you about it.

फिर भी मेरे मलिन मन में समझ नहीं आई; उसका फल मैंने भली-भाँति भोगा।

Even then, understanding did not dawn in my clouded mind; I fully experienced the consequence of that.

अब भी मेरे मन में कुछ संशय है; कृपा कीजिए, मैं हाथ जोड़कर विनती करती हूँ।

Some doubt still remains in my mind; please show kindness—I beseech you with folded hands.

हे प्रभु, तब आपने मुझे अनेक प्रकार से समझाया था; हे नाथ, उस बात को ध्यान में रखकर क्रोध न कीजिए।

Lord, you instructed me in many ways then; my lord, recalling that, please do not be angry.
