राम, लक्ष्मण और सीता का रूप देखकर गाँव के स्त्री-पुरुष प्रेमपूर्वक कहते हैं।

Seeing the beauty of Rama, Lakshmana, and Sita, the village men and women speak with affection.

सखी, बताओ, वे माता-पिता कैसे हैं जिन्होंने ऐसे बालकों को वन भेज दिया?

Tell me, friend, what sort of parents are they who sent such children into the forest?

कुछ कहते हैं, राजा ने अच्छा किया; विधाता ने हमें आँखों को धन्य करने वाला यह लाभ दिया।

Some say, ‘The king did well; the Creator has granted us this delight for our eyes.’

तब निषादराज ने मन में विचार किया और शीशम के वृक्ष को मनोहर स्थान समझा।

Then the Nishada chief considered the matter inwardly and judged the rosewood tree a lovely spot.

गुह राम को ले जाकर वह स्थान दिखाने लगे। राम ने कहा, यह सब प्रकार से सुहावना है।

Guha took Rama and showed him the spot. Rama said, ‘It is pleasant in every way.’

नगरवासी प्रणाम करके घर लौट आए। राम संध्या-वंदन करने चले गए।

The townspeople paid their respects and returned home. Rama went to perform his twilight prayers.
