अयोध्याकाण्ड 2.72

धर्म और नीति का उपदेश उसे दीजिए जिसे यश, ऐश्वर्य और शुभ परलोक-गति प्रिय हों।

Teach righteousness and proper conduct to one who cherishes fame, prosperity, and a blessed destiny hereafter.

हे कृपा के सागर, जो मन, कर्म और वचन से आपके चरणों में अनुरक्त हो, क्या उसे त्याग देना चाहिए?

O ocean of grace, should one who is devoted to your feet in thought, deed, and speech be abandoned?

करुणा के सागर राम ने अपने प्रिय भाई के कोमल और विनम्र वचन सुनकर—

Rama, the ocean of compassion, hearing his dear brother’s gentle and humble words—

प्रभु ने उन्हें स्नेह के कारण भयभीत जानकर हृदय से लगाया और समझाया।

Knowing that his brother was fearful because of his affection, the Lord embraced him and reassured him.
