अयोध्याकाण्ड 2.52

रघुकुल के तिलक श्रीराम ने दोनों हाथ जोड़कर प्रसन्नतापूर्वक माता के चरणों में सिर झुकाया।

Rama, the glory of Raghu’s lineage, joined both hands and joyfully bowed his head at his mother’s feet.

माता ने आशीर्वाद दिया, उन्हें हृदय से लगा लिया और आभूषण तथा वस्त्र निछावर किए।

His mother blessed him, embraced him, and offered ornaments and garments in loving celebration.

माता बार-बार उनका मुख चूमती हैं; उनके नेत्रों में स्नेह के आँसू हैं और शरीर रोमांचित है।

The mother repeatedly kisses his face; her eyes fill with tears of affection and her body thrills with joy.

उन्हें गोद में रखकर माता फिर हृदय से लगाती हैं; प्रेमरस से भरा दूध सुंदर रूप से झरता है। अंतिम अंश का पाठ कुछ अनिश्चित है।

Placing him in her lap, the mother again holds him to her heart; milk imbued with loving emotion flows sweetly. The wording of the latter part is somewhat uncertain.

उनके प्रेम और आनंद का कुछ भी वर्णन नहीं किया जा सकता; मानो किसी निर्धन ने कुबेर का पद पा लिया हो।

Her love and delight are beyond description, as though a pauper had attained the station of Kubera.

आदरपूर्वक उनके सुंदर मुख को निहारकर माता मधुर वचन बोलीं।

Gazing respectfully at his beautiful face, his mother spoke sweet words.
