अयोध्याकाण्ड 2.41

हे माता, सुनिए: वही पुत्र बहुत भाग्यवान है जो पिता और माता के वचनों से प्रेम रखता है।

Listen, Mother: truly fortunate is the son who cherishes his father’s and mother’s words.

हे माता, माता-पिता को संतुष्ट करने वाला पुत्र पूरे संसार में दुर्लभ है।

Mother, a son who brings satisfaction to his parents is rare throughout the world.

विशेषतः वन में मुनियों से मिलना होगा; वन जाना मेरे लिए हर प्रकार से हितकारी है।

Especially, I shall meet sages in the forest; going there benefits me in every way.

उस पर पिता की आज्ञा भी है और, हे माता, तुम्हारी सहमति भी है।

Added to that are my father’s command and, Mother, your own consent.
