राज्य मंत्रियों, गुरु और भरत को सौंपकर जनक ने सब यात्रा-व्यवस्था तैयार की और तिरहुत के लिए चले।

Entrusting the kingdom to the ministers, the preceptor, and Bharata, Janaka made all preparations and departed for Tirhut.

नगर की स्त्रियाँ और पुरुष गुरु की सीख मानकर राम की राजधानी में सुखपूर्वक रहने लगे।

Following the preceptor’s counsel, the women and men of the city lived peacefully in Rama’s capital.

राम के दर्शन के लिए सभी लोग नियमों और उपवासों का पालन करते थे।

All the people observed religious disciplines and fasts in the hope of seeing Rama.

आभूषण, भोग और सुख छोड़-छोड़कर वे राम के वनवास की निश्चित अवधि पूरी होने की आशा में जीते थे।

Giving up ornaments, enjoyments, and comforts, they lived in the hope that the appointed term of Rama’s exile would end.
