जनक ने सीता को तपस्विनी के वेश में देखा तो उन्हें विशेष प्रेम और संतोष हुआ।

Seeing Sita dressed as an ascetic, Janaka felt profound love and satisfaction.

हे पुत्री, तुमने दोनों कुलों को पवित्र किया। संसार में हर कोई तुम्हारे निर्मल सुयश का बखान करता है।

Daughter, you have sanctified both families. Everyone in the world speaks of your spotless renown.

तुम्हारी कीर्ति की नदी ने गंगा को भी पीछे छोड़कर करोड़ों ब्रह्मांडों में प्रवाह किया है।

The river of your fame has surpassed the Ganges and flowed through countless millions of universes.

पृथ्वी पर गंगा के तीन बड़े तीर्थस्थल हैं; किंतु तुम्हारी इस कीर्ति-नदी ने संतों के बहुत-से समाजों को पवित्र किया है।

On earth the Ganges has three great sacred sites; this river of your fame, however, has sanctified many communities of saints.

पिता प्रेमपूर्वक सुंदर वाणी में सत्य कह रहे थे; सीता मानो संकोच में समा गईं।

Her father spoke truly in loving, gracious words; Sita seemed to be wholly absorbed in modest shyness.

फिर माता-पिता ने सीता को हृदय से लगा लिया और उनके हित में सुंदर सीख तथा आशीर्वाद दिए।

Then her parents clasped Sita to their hearts and gave her gracious counsel and blessings for her welfare.
