अयोध्याकाण्ड 2.282

हे सखी, राजा के जीने और मरने का विचार हृदय में लाकर हम अपने हित की हानि देखकर शोक करते हैं।

Friend, thinking in our hearts of the king’s living and dying, we grieve because we see a loss to our own welfare.

सीता की माता कहती हैं, ‘आपकी सुंदर वाणी सत्य है, हे अयोध्यापति की रानी, आप पुण्यशीलता की पराकाष्ठा हैं।’

Sita’s mother says, ‘Your gracious words are true, O queen of Ayodhya’s lord; you are the very pinnacle of virtue.’

लक्ष्मण, राम और सीता वन जाएँ तो उसका परिणाम अच्छा होगा, बुरा नहीं।

Though Lakshmana, Rama, and Sita go to the forest, the outcome will be good, not bad.

हृदय में भाव-विह्वल होकर कौसल्या कहती हैं, ‘मुझे भरत की चिंता है।’

With her heart overwhelmed, Kaushalya says, ‘I am worried about Bharata.’
