अयोध्याकाण्ड 2.28

रामगिरि, वन और तपस्वियों के आश्रमों में घूमना तथा अमृत के समान कंद, मूल और फल खाना—ऐसा जीवन मिले।

There would be wandering on Rama’s hill, through the forest and the ascetics’ retreats, and eating tubers, roots, and fruits as sweet as nectar.

इस सुख में चौदह वर्ष पल के समान हो जाएँगे; उनका बीतना पता ही नहीं चलेगा।

With such happiness, fourteen years would seem like a moment; their passing would go unnoticed.

सब लोग कहते हैं, ‘हम इस सुख के योग्य नहीं हैं; ऐसा भाग्य हमारे पास कहाँ है?’

Everyone says, ‘We are not worthy of this happiness; how could we have such good fortune?’

दोनों समाजों में स्वाभाविक रूप से राम के चरणों के प्रति प्रेम था।

Both gatherings had a natural love for Rama’s feet.
