सुंदर वृक्षों को देखकर नगरवासी प्रसन्न हुए और जहाँ-तहाँ ठहरने लगे।

अनेक प्रकार के पत्ते, फल, जड़ें और कंद पवित्र, सुंदर तथा अमृत जैसे थे।

Leaves, fruits, roots, and tubers of many kinds were pure, pleasing, and like nectar.

राम और गुरु ने आदरपूर्वक सबके पास इन खाद्य पदार्थों के भरपूर भार भेजे।

Rama and the guru respectfully sent generous loads of these foods to everyone.

पितरों, देवताओं, अतिथियों और गुरु का पूजन करके सब फलाहार करने लगे।

After honoring the ancestors, gods, guests, and guru, everyone began partaking of the fruit-and-root meal.
