अयोध्याकाण्ड 2.27

यह सुनकर श्रेष्ठ दूत संकोच में पड़े; धरती पर माथा झुकाकर और हाथ जोड़कर बोले।

Hearing this, the worthy messengers felt hesitant; bowing their heads to the ground, they spoke with folded hands.

‘स्वामी, आपका आदरपूर्वक पूछना ही कुशलता का कारण हुआ है, गोसाईं।’

‘Master, your respectful inquiry itself has become a cause of well-being, revered lord.’

‘अन्यथा, हे नाथ, कोसल के राजा दशरथ के साथ ही कुशलता चली गई।’

‘Otherwise, my lord, well-being departed along with Dasharatha, the king of Kosala.’

‘सारा संसार अनाथ हो गया है, विशेष रूप से मिथिला और अयोध्या।’

‘The whole world has become bereft of its protector, especially Mithila and Ayodhya.’
