अथवा हम तीनों भाई वन जाएँ और सीता सहित श्रीराम लौट आएँ।

Alternatively, let us three brothers go to the forest, and let Rama return with Sita.

हे करुणासागर प्रभु, जिस प्रकार आपका मन प्रसन्न हो, वही कीजिए।

O Lord, ocean of compassion, do whatever pleases your heart.

प्रभु ने सारा दायित्व मुझे दे दिया है, पर मुझमें न नीति का विचार है, न धर्म का।

The Lord has entrusted the entire responsibility to me, but I lack discernment concerning both right conduct and duty.

मैं अपनी सारी बातें अपने ही हित के लिए कहता हूँ; व्याकुल व्यक्ति के चित्त में विवेक नहीं रहता।

I say all these things for my own interest; a distressed person’s mind retains no clear judgment.

जो सेवक स्वामी की इच्छा सुनकर भी प्रत्युत्तर देता है, उसे देखकर लज्जा भी लजा जाती है।

Even shame itself feels ashamed on seeing a servant who answers back after hearing his master’s wish.

मैं ऐसा अवगुणों का अथाह समुद्र हूँ, फिर भी स्वामी स्नेहवश मुझे साधु कहकर सराहते हैं।

I am such a fathomless ocean of faults, yet my master, out of affection, praises me as virtuous.
