सबको शुभ शकुन हो रहे हैं; सुख देने वाले संकेत के रूप में आँखें और बाँहें फड़क रही हैं।

Auspicious omens occur for everyone; their eyes and arms twitch as joyful signs.

भरत और उनके साथ के सभी लोगों को उत्साह है कि राम मिलेंगे और दुःख की जलन मिट जाएगी।

Bharata and his whole company are filled with anticipation: they will meet Rama, and the burning pain of sorrow will end.

जिसके मन में जैसी अभिलाषा है, वह वैसा मनोरथ करता हुआ चलता है; सभी स्नेह की मदिरा में मतवाले हैं।

Each proceeds imagining the fulfillment of whatever wish lies in their heart; all are intoxicated with the wine of affection.

उनके अंग शिथिल हैं और पाँव रास्ते में डगमगाते हैं; प्रेम के वश में वे व्याकुल वचन बोलते हैं।

Their limbs are slack and their feet stagger on the road; overcome by love, they utter words of deep emotion.

उस समय राम के मित्र निषादराज ने स्वभावतः सुंदर, पर्वतों में श्रेष्ठ चित्रकूट दिखाया।

At that moment Rama’s friend, the Nishada chief, pointed out Chitrakuta, a naturally lovely mountain, foremost among mountains.

उस पर्वत के पास पयस्विनी नदी के तट पर सीता सहित दोनों वीर भाई राम और लक्ष्मण रहते हैं।

Near that mountain, on the bank of the Payasvini River, the two heroic brothers, Rama and Lakshmana, dwell with Sita.
