अयोध्याकाण्ड 2.209

हे तात, तुम्हारा यश निर्मल नए चंद्रमा के समान है; राम के सेवक उसके लिए कुमुद और चकोर के समान हैं।

Dear son, your fame is like a pure new moon; Rama’s servants are like water lilies and chakor birds delighting in it.

यह यशरूपी चंद्रमा सदा उदित रहेगा, कभी अस्त नहीं होगा; जगतरूपी आकाश में घटेगा नहीं, बल्कि दिन-दिन दूना होगा।

This moon of fame will remain ever risen and never set; in the sky of the world it will never wane, but grow twofold day by day.

चक्रवाक के समान तीनों लोक भी इससे बहुत प्रेम करेंगे; प्रभु के प्रतापरूपी सूर्य से भी इसकी शोभा नहीं मिटेगी।

The three worlds, likened to chakravak birds, will greatly love it; even the sun of the Lord’s majesty will not diminish its beauty.

यह रात-दिन सदा सबको सुख देगा; कैकेयी के कृत्यरूपी राहु इसे नहीं ग्रस सकेगा।

It will always bring happiness to everyone, night and day; the Rahu of Kaikeyi’s deed will not eclipse it.

यह राम के प्रति सुंदर प्रेमरूपी अमृत से भरा है; गुरुजनों के अपमान का दोष इसे दूषित नहीं करता।

It is filled with the nectar of pure love for Rama; no fault of disrespect toward elders taints it.

अब राम के भक्त इस अमृत से तृप्त होंगे; तुमने धरती पर भी अमृत सुलभ कर दिया है।

Now Rama’s devotees will be satiated with this nectar; you have made nectar accessible even on earth.
