अयोध्याकाण्ड 2.183

यदि आप पंचजन मेरा भला मानते हैं, तो शुभ वाणी से मुझे आज्ञा और आशीर्वाद दीजिए,

If you assembled counselors consider this good for me, give me permission and blessings in gracious words,

जिससे मेरी विनती सुनकर और मुझे अपना सेवक जानकर राम फिर राजधानी लौट आएँ।

So that Rama, hearing my plea and recognizing me as his servant, may return to the capital.

यद्यपि मेरा जन्म बुरी माता से हुआ है और मैं मूर्ख तथा सदा दोषों से भरा हूँ,

Although I was born of a bad mother and am foolish and ever full of faults,

मुझे भरोसा है कि रघुवीर राम मुझे अपना जानकर त्यागेंगे नहीं।

I trust that Rama, the hero of Raghu’s lineage, will regard me as his own and not abandon me.
