अयोध्याकाण्ड 2.182

संसार गुरु को विवेक का सागर जानता है; उनके लिए विश्व हथेली पर रखे बेर के समान है।

The world knows the guru as an ocean of discernment; to him, the universe is like a berry held in the palm.

वे भी मेरे लिए राजतिलक की सामग्री सजाते हैं। विधाता प्रतिकूल हो जाए तो सभी प्रतिकूल हो जाते हैं।

Even he prepares the materials for my coronation. When fate turns adverse, everyone turns adverse.

राम और सीता को छोड़कर संसार में कोई यह नहीं कहेगा कि इस षड्यंत्र में मेरी सहमति नहीं थी।

Except for Rama and Sita, no one in the world will say that I did not consent to this scheme.

मैं उस आरोप को सुख मानकर सुनूँगा और सहूँगा; आखिर जहाँ पानी है, वहाँ कीचड़ भी होता है।

I will hear and bear that accusation willingly; after all, where there is water, there is mud.

मुझे यह डर नहीं कि संसार मुझे नीच कहेगा; परलोक की भी चिंता नहीं है।

I do not fear that the world will call me vile; nor am I worried about the world hereafter.

हृदय में बस एक ही असह्य जलन है कि मेरे कारण सीता और राम दुखी हुए।

Only one unbearable anguish dwells in my heart: Sita and Rama have suffered because of me.
