कैकेयी के गर्भ से संसार में जन्म लेने के कारण यह मेरे लिए तनिक भी अनुचित नहीं है।

Having been born into this world from Kaikeyi’s womb, none of this is unfitting for me.

विधाता ने ही मेरी सारी बात बना दी है! हे प्रजाजन और पंचों, तुम क्यों सहायता कर रहे हो?

Fate has already arranged my whole affair! People and council elders, why are you helping it along?

कोई ग्रह से ग्रस्त हो, फिर वात-रोग के वश हो, और उसे फिर बिच्छू डंक मार दे—

Someone is afflicted by a possessing spirit, then overcome by a wind disorder, and then stung by a scorpion—

और उसे मदिरा पिला दी जाए, तो बताओ, उसका क्या उपचार हो सकता है?

And if that person is made to drink liquor, tell me, what remedy could there be?
