अयोध्याकाण्ड 2.174

परशुराम ने पिता की आज्ञा का पालन करके अपनी माता को मार डाला; सारा संसार इसका साक्षी है।

Parashurama obeyed his father’s command and killed his mother; the whole world bears witness to this.

पुत्र ने ययाति को अपना यौवन दिया; पिता की आज्ञा मानने से न पाप हुआ, न अपयश।

The son gave his youth to Yayati; obeying the father’s command brought neither sin nor disgrace.

जो उचित-अनुचित का विचार छोड़कर पिता के वचनों का पालन करते हैं—

Those who set aside consideration of right and wrong and obey their father’s words—

वे सुख और सुयश के पात्र होते हैं और देवराज इंद्र के निवास में बसते हैं।

They become worthy of happiness and good renown, and dwell in the abode of Indra, king of the gods.
