अयोध्याकाण्ड 2.13

जिनमें काम, क्रोध, मद, अभिमान और मोह नहीं हैं; लोभ, क्षोभ, आसक्ति और द्वेष भी नहीं हैं।

Those who have no lust, anger, arrogance, pride, or delusion, and no greed, agitation, attachment, or hostility.

जिनमें कपट, दंभ और छल नहीं हैं, हे रघुराज राम, उनके हृदय में निवास कीजिए।

O Rama, lord of the Raghu lineage, dwell in the hearts of those who have no deceit, hypocrisy, or guile.

जो सबके प्रिय और सबका हित करने वाले हैं, तथा दुःख-सुख और प्रशंसा-गाली को समान मानते हैं।

Those who are dear to everyone and work for everyone's good, and regard sorrow and joy, praise and abuse alike.

जो विचार करके सत्य और प्रिय वचन बोलते हैं, और जागते-सोते आपकी शरण में रहते हैं।

Those who speak truthful and pleasing words after reflection, and remain in your refuge whether awake or asleep.

जिनके लिए आपको छोड़कर कोई दूसरा आश्रय नहीं है, हे राम, उनके मन में निवास कीजिए।

O Rama, dwell in the minds of those who have no other refuge apart from you.

जो दूसरे की पत्नी को माता के समान मानते हैं और दूसरे के धन को विष से भी अधिक घातक विष समझते हैं।

Those who regard another man's wife as a mother and another's wealth as poison more deadly than poison itself.
