गाँव-गाँव में सूर्यवंशरूपी कुमुद के चंद्रमा श्रीराम को देखकर ऐसा आनंद होता है।

Village after village rejoices in this way on seeing Rama, the moon to the water-lily of the solar dynasty.

जो भी कुछ समाचार सुन पाते हैं, वे राजा और रानी को दोष देते हैं।

Those who hear any of the news blame the king and queen.

कुछ लोग कहते हैं, ‘राजा बहुत अच्छे हैं, जिन्होंने हमें आँखों का यह लाभ—इनका दर्शन—दिया।’

Some say, ‘The king is very good: he has given our eyes this reward—the sight of them.’

स्त्री-पुरुष आपस में सरल, स्नेहभरी और सुहावनी बातें कहते हैं।

The men and women exchange simple, affectionate, delightful words.

वे माता-पिता धन्य हैं जिन्होंने इन्हें जन्म दिया; वह नगर धन्य है जहाँ से ये आए हैं।

Blessed are the parents who brought them into the world; blessed is the city from which they have come.

वह देश, पर्वत, वन और गाँव धन्य हैं; जहाँ-जहाँ ये जाते हैं, वही स्थान धन्य है।

Blessed are those lands, mountains, forests, and villages; every place they visit is blessed.
