अयोध्याकाण्ड 2.112

हाथियों और सिंहों वाला वन देखा भी नहीं जाता। यदि अनुमति हो तो हम साथ चलें।

The forest with its elephants and lions is fearsome even to look upon. If you permit, we will accompany you.

जहाँ तक तुम जाओगे, वहाँ पहुँचाकर और तुम्हें सिर नवाकर हम फिर लौट आएँगे।

We will escort you as far as you go, then bow our heads to you and return.

इस प्रकार प्रेम के वशीभूत होकर वे पूछते हैं; उनके शरीर रोमांचित हैं और आँखों में आँसू हैं।

Thus, overcome with affection, they ask, their bodies thrilled and their eyes filled with tears.

कृपा के सागर राम विनम्र और कोमल वचन कहकर उन्हें लौटा देते हैं।

Rama, the ocean of compassion, sends them back with humble, gentle words.
