राम उस वन को भी छोड़कर आगे चले; दोनों भाई अतुल बल वाले नर-सिंह हैं।

Rama left that forest too and went onward; both brothers are lions among men, of incomparable strength.

प्रभु विरही के समान विषाद करते हुए अनेक कथाएँ और संवाद कह रहे हैं।

Like one suffering separation, the Lord grieves, recounting many stories and conversations.

लक्ष्मण, वन की शोभा देखो; इसे देखकर किसका मन व्याकुल नहीं होता?

Lakshmana, look at the forest’s beauty; whose heart would not be stirred on seeing it?

पक्षियों और पशुओं के सभी समूह अपनी संगिनियों के साथ हैं, मानो मेरी निंदा कर रहे हों।

All the groups of birds and animals are with their mates, as though reproaching me.

हमें देखकर हिरनों के झुंड भागते हैं; हिरनियाँ कहती हैं, ‘तुम्हें कोई भय नहीं है।’

Seeing us, the herds of deer flee; the does say, ‘You have nothing to fear.’

‘हे हिरनो, जाकर आनंद करो; ये तो सोने का हिरन खोजने आए हैं।’

‘Deer, go and enjoy yourselves; these men have come to seek the golden deer.’
