हे गोसाईं, सभी पुरुष स्त्रियों के वश में होकर नट के बंदर की तरह नाचते हैं।

सब पुरुष काम और लोभ में लिप्त, क्रोधी तथा देवताओं, ब्राह्मणों, वेदों और संतों के विरोधी हैं।

All men are absorbed in lust and greed, prone to anger, and opposed to the gods, Brahmins, the Vedas, and saints.

अभागी स्त्रियाँ गुणों के भंडार सुंदर पतियों को छोड़कर दूसरे पुरुषों से संबंध रखती हैं।

Unfortunate women abandon their handsome husbands, who are abodes of virtue, and consort with other men.

जिन स्त्रियों के पति जीवित हैं वे आभूषणों से रहित हैं, जबकि विधवाओं का शृंगार नया-नया है।

Women whose husbands are alive lack ornaments, while widows wear fresh adornments.

गुरु और शिष्य बहरे और अंधे जैसे हैं: एक, अर्थात शिष्य, सुनता नहीं और दूसरा, अर्थात गुरु, देखता नहीं।

Guru and disciple are like the deaf and the blind: one—the disciple—does not listen, and the other—the guru—does not see.
