उत्तरकाण्ड 7.8

जब मैं भयभीत हुआ, तो आँखें बंद कर लीं। फिर आँखें खोलकर देखते ही मैं अयोध्या पहुँच गया।

When I became frightened, I closed my eyes. On looking again, I found myself back in Ayodhya.

मुझे देखकर राम मुसकराए। उनके हँसते ही मैं तुरंत उनके मुख के भीतर चला गया।

Seeing me, Rama smiled. As he laughed, I immediately went inside his mouth.

हे पक्षिराज गरुड़, सुनो! उनके उदर के भीतर मैंने अनेक ब्रह्मांडों के समूह देखे।

Listen, Garuda, king of birds! Within his belly I saw many assemblages of universes.

वहाँ अनेक अत्यंत अद्भुत लोक थे, जिनकी रचना एक से बढ़कर एक थी।

There were many exceedingly wondrous worlds there, each surpassing the others in its design.

वहाँ करोड़ों ब्रह्मा और शिव तथा अनगिनत तारागण, सूर्य और चंद्रमा थे।

There were tens of millions of Brahmas and Shivas, and countless stars, suns, and moons.

अनगिनत लोकपाल, यम और काल थे; अनगिनत पर्वत और विशाल भूमियाँ थीं।

There were countless guardians of the worlds, Yamas, and manifestations of Time; countless mountains and vast lands.
