उत्तरकाण्ड 7.12

विष अमृत के समान और शत्रु हितैषी हो जाता है। उस मणि के बिना कोई सुख नहीं पाता।

Poison becomes like nectar, and an enemy becomes a well-wisher. Without that jewel, no one finds happiness.

वे गंभीर मानसिक रोग उसे नहीं सताते, जिनके वश में सभी जीव दुखी हैं।

The grave ailments of the mind, under whose sway all beings suffer, do not afflict that person.

जिसके हृदय में रामभक्ति की मणि बसती है, उसे स्वप्न में भी रंचमात्र दुःख नहीं होता।

One in whose heart the jewel of devotion to Rama dwells has not the slightest sorrow, even in a dream.

जगत में वही बुद्धिमानों में श्रेष्ठ हैं, जो इस मणि के लिए अच्छे प्रयत्न करते हैं।

Those who make earnest efforts for this jewel are the foremost among the wise in the world.

यद्यपि वह मणि संसार में प्रकट है, फिर भी राम की कृपा के बिना कोई उसे नहीं पाता।

Although that jewel is manifest in the world, no one obtains it without Rama's grace.

उसे पाने के उपाय सरल हैं, पर अभागे मनुष्य भटकते फिरते हैं।

The means of obtaining it are easy, yet unfortunate people wander aimlessly.
