सुन्दरकाण्ड 5.49

अब हे कृपालु, अपनी वह पवित्र करने वाली भक्ति दीजिए, जो सदा शिव के मन को प्रिय है।

Now, compassionate Lord, grant me purifying devotion to you, which is ever dear to Shiva’s heart.

‘ऐसा ही हो’ कहकर रण में धीर प्रभु ने तुरंत समुद्र का जल मँगाया।

Saying, ‘So be it,’ the Lord, steadfast in battle, immediately requested water from the sea.

हे मित्र, यद्यपि तुम्हें इसकी इच्छा नहीं है, फिर भी संसार में मेरा दर्शन निष्फल नहीं होता।

Friend, although you have no desire for this, seeing me never goes fruitless in this world.

ऐसा कहकर राम ने विभीषण का राजतिलक किया; आकाश से अपार फूलों की वर्षा हुई।

Saying this, Rama performed Vibhishana’s royal consecration; an abundant shower of flowers fell from the sky.

रावण का क्रोध अग्नि था और उसकी अपनी साँस प्रचंड पवन थी।

Ravana’s anger was a fire, and his own breath a fierce wind.

उसमें जलते हुए विभीषण को राम ने बचाया और उन्हें अखंड राज्य दिया।

Rama saved Vibhishana, who was burning in that fire, and granted him an undivided kingdom.

जो संपत्ति शिव ने रावण को उसके दस सिर अर्पित करने पर दी थी—

The wealth that Shiva gave Ravana upon his offering his ten heads—

वही संपदा रघुनाथ ने विभीषण को संकोच के साथ दी।

That very wealth Rama, lord of the Raghu lineage, gave Vibhishana with a sense of diffidence.
